Doug also provides clients with project management, organizational development services, and publishing-related services. He was a 1997 winner of the prestigious Project Leadership Award, and has been recognized by the Project Management Institute as one of the top five technology project managers in the United States. He has led teams of up to 204 people, and consulted on more than a dozen large-scale business redesign and software integration projects, including three that were designated as “Best Business Practices” by the Centers of Excellence.
Doug was the host of A Lighthouse for Leaders, a weekly radio program in Las Vegas. In 2006, he combined recordings from the broadcast with essential lessons and materials from the Leadership Skills seminars to create the new Lighthouse for Leaders program now being offered exclusively by Humaneering, Inc.
Doug serves as an Associate Partner for the Performance Technology Group of HRD Press, a global leader in human resource development. His work has been highlighted in numerous industry publications including Management Review, CIO, Training & Development, ComputerWorld, Software Magazine, and PM Network. He frequently contributes articles and editorials to the Amarillo Business Journal. He actively participates in several on-line business and publishing communities as Lighthouse24.
Doug Heatherly holds a Ph.D. in Business & Ethics, an M.S. in Management, and a B.S. in Computer Science. He holds advanced professional certifications in project management and leadership development. His client list includes over two hundred business organizations, government agencies, and non-profit groups throughout North America and the Pacific Rim. His publishing services firm has assisted in the design and development of books by more than 40 respected non-fiction authors.
Doug is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoys warm weather, outdoor sports, movies, music, and time with friends. He resides in south Texas, and maintains an office in Las Vegas, Nevada.
